Change the world. One compliment at a time.

Celebrate their strengths.

Today I encourage you to notice the little things in everyone you meet. Their smile. What lifts them up. What makes their heart sing. How hard they work. How they get through a day.

Show them you care.

Acknowledge them. Notice them. Lean in. Listen completely. Praise their hard work. Compliment their positive attitude. Encourage their dreams. Thank them for their service.

It only takes a moment to change a life.

Never forget how good it feels to hear something positive about yourself. Pass it on.💛💫

  1. This is perfect timing, Andrea. Thank you. I’m traveling today and feeling somewhat off balance. I’ve been aware of this and am doing my best to come present to loving myself and others, especially through kindness…. Really seeing people. I love what you wrote ‘what makes their heart sing’. 💜

  2. Wonderful posting Andrea! And don’t forget, compliments come in many different languages, be they physical or verbal, I’ve often found, just a genuine smile on the busy streets, just the sort of compliment I needed to begin my day!

    1. Thank you! Your compliment brightened my morning! 😊

And so true. Compliments come in so many different forms. (Nonverbal communication is 93% of all communication after all.) A smile can make all the difference in our day. And when I’m feeling extra daring… I add a wink or two. 😉😉..

Given you reference to smiling (and your experience living in NYC) you might also be interested in this short post: https://drandreadinardo.com/2016/03/03/what-makes-you-smile
