Ambitious Mama Podcast: Thriving Under Pressure & Posttraumatic Growth

Podcast Details & Show Notes

I was recently interviewed by wellness entrepreneur Christa Realba for her Ambitious Mama Podcast Series.

During the podcast, Christa and I discussed how posttraumatic growth and thriving under pressure are possible for all of us.

In different gradients, and at different times for sure. Depending on where you are on your journey.

We also discussed how we all have pain and adversity. It’s universal to all of us.

The key is to not get stuck in the challenge and let pain become your identity.

Dr. Andrea Dinardo Resilience

Instead, with support, encouragement, and the right set of resilience skills (this is what I teach), we all have the capacity to grow from difficulty.

To learn from it. To rise up and begin again when the time is right.

In addition to the podcast, resilience is discussed in more detail in my TEDx Talk and on my Psychology Blog, both called “Thriving Under Pressure”: https://DrAndreaDinardo.com

    1. My pleasure Sourav!

Hope you enjoyed the podcast and learning something about thriving under pressure.

Discussed about in equal detail in my TEDx Talk.

  2. I remember once reading a quote, can’t remember by who
‘Your past is a springboard not a couch’.

Was quite relevant for me at the time following return to professional practice following illness.

Thanks for sharing interesting post 🙏☘️.

  3. Dr. D, this is a great amalgamation of everything you discuss. I enjoyed this podcast very much. It also gave me an idea for my Mental Health Matters category, which I’ll be sharing with you at some point 😉

    1. I so look forward to it! And thank you so much for taking the time to listen & reflect on the ideas. It’s reassuring to hear your thoughts. Because at the end of the day, “putting it out there” is one of the most vulnerable things we can do. And you my friend, my teammate, help make the question marks become statements. Thank you Dr. G! 🎙💻💞

  4. “If we didn’t believe we could heal from trauma it would be a sad existence.” So beautifully said AND lived VJ! Thank you for taking the time to listen to the podcast. Your life experiences underscore my message of hope. 🙏☀️💛

  5. Enjoyed the podcast. Some of your points really hit home – like taking pride in making the bed if that’s all you can do (certainly was me a few years back). If we didn’t believe we could heal from trauma it would be a sad existence.

    1. Thanks for the feedback and for taking the time to download and listen to the podcast. Christa, the podcast interviewer, is a breath of fresh air. 🌈☀️

      — I also touched on posttraumatic growth in this video post too:

    1. You are so welcome! I was thinking about you and your writing the other day. Hope your health continues to improve. And please keep me on the list for the blog post on empowering women in challenging situations. I would be honoured to be included. Have a wonderful Tuesday!

      1. I will always keep you in mind for that. You are veery inspiring and I think some of my followers will be happy to get to know you.
My dear, you are a gift to be shared.

Thank you for your beautiful words. So happy to finally connect with you.
