Expanding time.

I was thinking about time tonight. It’s like a never ending circle that starts and stops at the same place. A perpetual loop heightened on a Sunday night.

And the only way to slow it down is to breathe in each moment. To notice each ephemeral hour. To rest gently in the arms of time.

  1. This is so cool. Hope everyone understands this fact soon. There is nothing more fun than seizing the moment. It makes you realize that you are really living. Great post.✌

    1. It sure is! Something that we need to remind ourselves of daily.

In fact, one of my favourite scenes in the new Wonder Woman movie is where she questions the actor Chris Pine about his watch.

Wonder Woman says “You really let that little bracelet boss you around all day?!?”

The best scene on our preoccupation (and disempowerment) with time!

    2. The rhythm of the seasons is not a manmade construct – there is a beauty within that time frame especially when the seasons are respected. I agree with hours, minutes and seconds though!

  2. Hello Dr Dinardo,
Such beautiful ponderings…it is a funny thing, time.
Your visual is really quite revealing and I agree with VJ. 💐💕

  3. I, too, reflect and “wrestle” with the concept of Time!
Loved your graphic and loved the message!
    Yes, rest gently. . . don’t fight it. . .
    Thank you!
    Blessings,
    Sandy

    1. Amen to that Sandy! As I mentioned to another blogger – One of my favourite scenes in the new Wonder Woman movie is when she questions Chris Pine about his watch. Wonder Woman says “You really let that little bracelet (aka watch) boss you around all day?!?” We sure do! And if she only had a peek at our cell phone usage. She would lose her mind.

  4. So much truth here. It seems each day we are making a conscious decision to breathe in each moment and not get ahead of ourselves. We too like that, “To rest gently in the arms of time” lovely!”

    1. Thank you! We are on the same page. Being conscious is the ultimate superpower. Quietly noticing our world – from the inside out. Nature is the ultimate reminder (and timekeeper). Nothing but the here & now. 🌲 🌳🍃

  5. As much as I’m in to health and fitness, people are sometimes surprised to find that I am a casual pipe smoker. When they ask why, I tell them two things. First, it allows me to take time out of my busy day or week to do something that requires attention, but also allows me to relax and contemplate. Second, Mark Twain said that you can’t trust a man without a vice, so I may as well have one.
