I was thinking about how at peace I feel when I’m enjoying “coffee talk” with my husband John at 6am every morning (especially this morning) and how could I bring that zen feeling with me all day long.
Conscious breathing for me is key. Simple & equally profound. From time travelling in my head to back to the “here & now” in an instant.
Great strategies! Visualization is such a powerful tool. I used it often in my work as a school psychologist to help students with test anxiety, and the young ones in kindergarten with separation anxiety. To this day, I use it with nursing students at the college. Transformative technique for students & professors!
This is why I smoke a pipe every couple of days: it’s a ritual that forces me to sit, relax, and set aside 30-45 minutes either alone with my thoughts or with my wife. As I look back on the past few years, some of those moments on the porch, just taking in the beauty of the sky, the sights and sounds that surround us, and the relaxing flavor of a nice tobacco coupled with a hot cup of coffee recharges my mind like nothing else.
Thank you! Life can be so complicated. Stress relief shouldn’t be. What a difference a long deep breath makes. Combined with videos of your travels = Peace indeed. 🌿🍃
Smiling as I read your comment Christy. Thank you for the feedback! I love the title for your blog “When Women Inspire”. There is no doubt that it all starts with you Christy.🌟💫
Hello Dr Dinardo,
Thank you for the reminder. I’m a bit of a one for letting my mind wander except in for a few things where I just lose myself. It’s a special feeling.
I’m attempting to spread it into other activities too now🙋🏻💕💐
Within each breath when we breathe that little deeper, we do indeed find more peace.. learning to take time, and breathe and exhale the worry and tensions you carry, Can be a wonderful healer, and within a few moments Balance can be helped to be restored..
Lovely quote There is only one moment that matters, and that is the Now Moment. 🙂
So much peace in your writing Sue. Each word brings me closer to ‘the now’. An essential practice in today’s digital world. We must never forget that “Now is all there is.” 🌺
Yes Andrea, now is ALL there is.. sadly so many people live in the past and yearn for the future as they let the present slip by.. Which is why the ‘Present’ is such a gift to treasure..
Wishing you a Peaceful week
Sue 🙂
Basically, I recommend to every person to be mindful. This require to stop, breath and smile when we face a situation. This allow us to think before act. This is a great post!
Dr. Andrea, reading your blog is an excellent way to start the day. You are a cup of coffee, sweet banana, or a favorite tune to hum or sing out loud, for the soul before the start of each day. Thank you!
Peace is taking a deep breath and being with your family after a long day.

But do-able. Maybe not always. But definitely in moments. One long, deep breath at a time. 🍃🌿

What works for me best is deep breathing and visualizing all that is good in my life and all that brings me joy.

Reminders between bloggers is one of my favourite aspects of writing.
A gentle wake up call to what truly matters. Shifting us from our unrelenting egos to our overflowing spirits in 250 words or less.
