As you may have noticed, I have chosen Steps for PEACE as a focus on every blog post. My fervent wish and prayer is that we achieve this as a world community – sooner rather than later
Great post! In my experience, when I learned yoga around 35 years ago, the biggest impact (of many) it had on me was that I learned the benefit of deep breathing. I am sure I have used deep breaths to relax myself in stressful situations nearly every day of my life since then. Talk about a gift that keeps on giving!
May I just say again how wonderful you are. Andrea, I am so glad to have found you in this blogging community. Your wisdom comes directly from your heart – full of joy and bringing me into greater peace. My spiritual teacher John Morton says “Peace is always present.” β€ Thanks for the reminder! Blessings, Debbie β€
Andrea, thank you once again for reminding me to breathe. Love that you shared your poetry in response to my forgiveness blog. That touches me immensely …. Have a beautiful week, each breath at a time π
Yes, of course. Simple practice. Easy to forget. (Posting reminders around the house helps quite a bit.) In the end: Peace happens.. One breath at a time.π
It sure is! My physical therapist prescribed belly breathing as rehabilitation to my shoulder and hip issues, and I am amazed by how effective it has been. It not only brings more comfort and stamina to my runs but the internal peace and motivation to charge on for more laps around the track! π Carries over to so many other areas of my life!
Thank you for reminding me. x
